(a) The expression of BMPs, the receptor BMPRII, and the antagonist noggin was analyzed in the peripheral immune system at different time points: at baseline (basal), during induction (7 dpi), and in the inflammatory (15 dpi), early chronic (30 dpi), and late chronic (49 dpi) phases of EAE. Expression levels were evaluated by qPCR for (b) BMP2, (c) BMP4, (d) BMP6, (e) BMP7, (f) BMPRII, and (g) noggin in splenocytes stimulated in vitro. Six to eight mice were analyzed at each time point.
