#Expression of the immune cell populations was derived based on the analytical tools CIBERSORT (Cell-type Identification By Estimating Relative Subsets Of RNA Transcripts) (163165).

§Hypoxia-high and hypoxia-low risk groups were compared in glioma (GB) (163), hepatocellular carcinoma (HC) (164) and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) datasets (165). P-values for the increasing immune populations in each group are presented. Two P-values are presented for GB and LUAD, which included two independent datasets. P-values < 0.05 were considered statistically significant and are presented in bold.
