DMN, default mode network; mPFC, Mesial prefrontal cortex; lPFC, Lateral prefrontal cortex; ACC, Anterior cingulate cortex.

Calculations at 1 − p > 0.98, cluster size > 1.0 cc; Italics indicate sub-significant clusters (1 − p < 0.98, cluster size < 1.0 cc).

The CON < TrM and TrW clusters in anterior DMN could be partly constituted by lower connectivity in scan 2 vs 1 among controls, in addition to the increased connectivity in TrM and TrW in scan 2 vs 1. Scan 2 > 1 in the posterior DMN are constituted by scan 2 increases among the transgender group.

aIncludes part of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.

bIncludes superior parietal cortex.

cIndicate sub-significant levels (cluster size < 1.0 cc), none of the other contrasts showed any clusters.
