Fig. 8 — Stable formulations of HNK increase the antitumor effect. Different biodegradable formulations have been proposed to protect the compound, to increase its solubility in aqueous media and its bioavailability. Mixed micelles, proliposomes and amorphous solid dispersion of the polymer-stabilized compounds have been reported. These formulations significantly promote the anticancer activity of HNK or derivatives [107–109]
