As a negative control, immunohistochemistry was performed against uninjured wild-type (WT) and canonical transient receptor potential 6 deficient (TRPC6^-/-) CCA cross-sections in the absence of a primary antibody. After overnight incubation in Tris-buffered saline (TBS) + 5% bovine serum albumin (BSA), sections were treated with goat, anti-rabbit secondary antibody (Invitrogen; cat. 31460, 1:1500) in TBS + 5% BSA for 2 hours. Sections were then developed with 3,3'diaminobenzidine (DAB).
