Based on recent recommendations of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), a baseline oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy is recommended at the age of 8 years in asymptomatic individuals with PJS. If polyps are detected at the baseline endoscopy, a 1–3 yearly interval based on phenotype for oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and/or colonoscopy is recommended. Routine oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy surveillance is recommended at the age of 18 if the baseline endoscopy is negative.
