High-dose zanamivir inhibits the decrease in IgG sialylation in the arthritic phase of CIA. Levels of (2,6)-SA residues on total serum IgG were measured by ELISA using biotinylated Sambucus nigra, a lectin specific for terminal-linked (2,6)-SA. IgG sialylation is expressed as ratio of SNA binding (OD) to total IgG concentration. Results are shown as ± standard deviation (±SD). * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01; ns = not significant.
