Here we compared the effectiveness of social bubbles in reducing mortality risk, when compared to other ways of increasing social contacts - where individuals from eligible households either make fixed random contacts (blue) or varying random contacts every generation (orange). In each comparison, individuals make the same number of infectious contacts, so the reduction in fatalities can be attributed to the clustering implied by social bubbles.
