Virus infection resulted in weight loss in wild-type (WT) and knock-out (KO) mice in the absence of allergy with no differences between genotypes (A). Viral load in the lungs were similar between WT and KO mice after infection although allergic KO mice had significantly more virus in the lungs compared to non-allergic KO mice (B). Data are represented as the mean and SD of n = 5 mice per group per genotype and analyzed with two-way ANOVA with Sidak’s (A) or Tukey’s (B) multiple comparisons test to compare data between groups.
