The three M. smegmatis, WT, i regX3, and OE regX3, were cultured in panel (A) MOPS-propionate (10 mM) minimal medium with low concentration phosphate (100 μM K₂HPO₄), (B) MOPS-glucose (10 mM) minimal medium with a low concentration of phosphate (100 μM K₂HPO₄) and (C) MOPS-propionate (10 mM) minimal medium with a high concentration of phosphate (10 mM K₂HPO₄), respectively. The mean of OD₆₀₀ nm was calculated at each time point. Data are presented as means ± SEM calculated from three independent experiments.
