Effect of RES on cell viability and apoptosis. Viability of H9C2 cells was determined by CCK-8 assay at (A) 24 h, (B) 36 h and (C) 48 h after OGD. Apoptosis was detected using FACS. H9C2 cells were exposed to OGD for 24 h and treated with 20 mM RES. The percentages of apoptotic cells were stained by Annexin V-FITC and PI (D). The apoptotic rate was measured by calculating the percentage of early-stage and late-stage apoptotic cells (E).
