(B) The scatter plots at different times show the abundances of A and B, as well as the velocities for 250 out of 10,000 cells used for the simulation. The plots are also shown as an overlay. (C) Conversion of the scatter plot to a potential energy landscape with velocities is shown. The combined scatter plot of A and B abundances and velocities sampled at different times is shown. The abundances are used to generate a 2D histogram that is then converted into a potential energy surface. The phase space is discretized, and the velocities within each gridded region are averaged to obtain the mean velocity and variance for that region.
