PX recombinant’s image (e) shows a noticeable destabilization of different parts of the envelope. The stars represent a destabilization of the carbohydrate layer and the arrows of the lipid bilayer. The recombinant PX shows a strongly truncated insertion of a gene coding for the efflux pump (improper pump insertion).
