Table III:

Material toughness and limits of mechanical strength and deformability of P22, HAdV, and HSV shells: the average toughness T, toughness threshold T, and toughness range T˜, and the lower bounds of critical forces Fb and critical deformations Xb. The value of T are calculated with Eq. (16) using theoretical and experimental estimates of ΔGf taken from Table II (separated by the slash). The values of and T are T˜ obtained from the fit of theoretical distribution p(T) (Eq. (17)) to the histograms of toughness (Fig. 4). Theoretical estimates of Fb and Xb obtained with Eqs. (18)(19) and experimental values of Fb and Xb are separated by the slash.
