Growth experiments of a wild type B. subtilis (black), GP3407 (ΔdarB; gray), wild type + pGP3306 (darB+, blue). b GP3419 (Δrel, bright green) and GP3419 (Δrel, darB+, dark green), and c wild type + pGP3437/3441/3601 (darBA25G, darBR132M, darBA25G,R132M, pink) in MSSM minimal medium with 0.1 mM KCl (upper panel) or 5 mM KCl (lower panel). Growth was monitored in an Epoch 2 Microplate Spectrophotometer (BioTek Instruments) at 37 °C with linear shaking at 237 cpm (4 mm) for 12 h.
