HPGDS responsible for the synthesis of 15d-PGJ2 is transiently upregulated during spontaneous resolution of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. (A) Mice were administrated with drinking water containing 2.5% DSS for 7 days, followed by normal water for 15 days. “No DSS” indicates mice without DSS administration. (B) Gradual change of body weight. (C) Disease activity index (DAI) based on the severity of stool consistency and rectal bleeding was measured every day during the experiment period.
