Histological evaluation with Safranin O/Fast Green to compare the repair of microfracture defects with implantation of gelatin–collagen I scaffolds carrying stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) (50 ng/ml) and control groups in vivo (×40 magnification) at 8 weeks post-operatively.
