Traits were fit to a Brière [ $c T (T - T_{0}) {(T_{m} - T)}^{\frac{1}{2}}$ ] or a quadratic [ $c (T - T_{m}) (T - T_{0})$ ] function where T represents temperature. T₀ and T_m are the critical thermal minimum and maximum, respectively, and c is the rate constant. Thermal responses were fit by ref. ¹⁹ and also used in ref. ³⁰. Parasite development rate was measured as the virus extrinsic incubation rate.
