Various Signals Emerge into Consciousness and Are Available for Broadcast.

Unconscious: broken blue lines – monitoring signals encapsulated within the perception–action loop. Conscious: unbroken blue lines – some monitoring signals re-represented as explicit metacognition. Solid black lines – direct experiences re-represented in consciousness. We must learn to distinguish and interpret the various signals that are re-represented in consciousness. Social interaction: we can be helped by others in this endeavour through the ability to broadcast and discuss experiences.
