Inhibitory effect of TCDD on medaka hypural development. Medaka embryos were exposed to vehicle or graded concentrations of TCDD (0.01–1 ppb) at 4 hpf for 1 h. Next, they were washed and incubated in ERM at 26°C until 10 dpf. Caudal peduncle containing axial skeleton was double stained with Alcian Blue and Alizarin Red at 10 dpf for visualization of hypural structures. Representative figures are shown.
