The left panel displays Kaplan-Meier survival curves for gut bacteria in individuals under high-salt intervention (red; N = 12) and healthy controls (blue; N = 121). The bright shades of red and blue indicate the Lactobacillus species while the dark shades indicate the set of all other detected gut bacteria. The right panel displays the results for the salt intervention group during the first 20 days of the intervention.
