Fast endophilin-mediated endocytosis (FEME), clathrin-independent carriers/glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein enriched early endosomal compartments (CLIC/GEEC). Caveolin-mediated endocytosis was omitted because it is not relevant to Toxoplasma gondii and other apicomplexan parasites, which lack caveolin.
