Total B cells and ABCs from old mice are characterized by higher glucose uptake as compared to those from young mice. B cells, isolated by magnetic sorting from the spleens of young and old mice, were left unstimulated. Glucose uptake was measured by flow cytometry and the glucose fluorescent analog 2-NBDG.
