Design considerations, building on those proposed by Mendoza and collaborators [60]:
  • Use short verbal instructions

  • Do not use double negatives or complex words

  • Never give instructions in which the individual must imagine being in a different setting

  • Favour gestures related to the context

  • Limit colours to the greatest extent possible

  • Use simple images that are not overly realistic

  • Avoid abstract images

  • Avoid ambiguity

  • Avoid using text inside images

  • Use a white background whenever possible

  • Use the most conventional form for objects
