  • 1.

    RTC with the death of another passenger in the same vehicle

  • 2.

    RTC with injection of casualty from vehicle

  • 3.

    RTC with prolonged extrication (>15 min) of casualty from vehicle

  • 4.

    Pedestrian/Cyclist/Motorcyclist vs Vehicle

  • 5.

    Fall >2 m/flight of stairs

  • 1.

    Visual injury to >2 body regions (head/neck/chest/abdomen/pelvis/long bones)

  • 2.

    Hard sign of vascular injury (expanding hematoma, deep laceration over arterial course)

  • 3.

    Hard signs of spinal card injury

  • 1.

    GCS <12 or intubated or surgical airway

  • 2.

    Systolic BP < 90 mmHg in the ED

  • 3.

    Respiratory rate <10 or >30 per minute

  • 4.

    Pulse >120 bpm in the ED

  • 5.

    Age >65 years

  • 6.

    Warfarinised patient
