The hepatic uptake of FFA is increased. Additional experiments were performed in which ¹³C-palmitate was infused into C57Bl/6J mice that were treated with T0901317 for 1 day, and untreated controls. The different graphs present the contribution of plasma palmitate to hepatic palmitate (A), stearate (B), palmitoleate (C), and oleate (D). The contribution of plasma palmitate to hepatic palmitoleate and oleate was increased after 1 day of LXR activation, thereby confirming the model estimation presented in Figure 7.
