(a) Cardiac lymphatic vessels (flt4+, lyve1b+, prox1a+) that reside on bulbus arteriosus (BA) start to migrate down to the ventricle after 3 months post-fertilization (mpf) when juvenile fish mature to adults. (b) Cardiac lymphatic vessels follow the course of the coronary artery to populate the ventricle. (c) Lymphatic activation during heart regeneration. After cryoinjury, the lymphatic vasculature starts to migrate into the wound at 14 days post-cryoinjury (dpc), over the wound site and is crucial for supporting the regenerative response.
