Characteristics of the five protocol instances. The number of subblocks is approximately the number of seconds of experiment time required. The entropy rate is estimated by Lnact/(βnact), where nact is the actual number of trials executed in an instance, Lnact is the running log2-QEF value at the end of an instance, and β is the power associated with the QEF which is used for each executed trial and determined at the calibration stage. The trial rate in the experiment was approximately 100 kHz.
