Predictors come from different sources: measures of indulgence, power distance, and individualism are from Hofstede et al.22; individual autonomy, emancipative moral judgments, pro-violence attitudes, tightness, and perceived threat were measured in the current study; measures of historical pathogen prevalence are from Murray and Schaller23; gender equality is measured by the Global Gender Gap Index from World Economic Forum24; median per-capita income measures are from Gallup25. Correlations are based on n = 57 countries, except for indulgence (n = 48), power distance (n = 51), individualism (n = 51), and median income (n = 50). 95% confidence intervals are presented in brackets.
