Growth of KT2440 (blue) and the triple rsm mutant (red) in M9 minimal medium with 5 mM L-lysine, L-arginine, L-histidine or glucose as carbon source. Cultures were grown in 96-well plates at 30°C and OD_420–580 was read at 1-h intervals in an automated BioScreen equipped with a wide band filter (420–580 nm) to minimize potential alterations due to changes in medium color. Data are averages and standard deviations of experiments done in duplicate, with three technical replicas each.
