A Seahorse XF analyzer was used to study the metabolic profile of podocytes which matured for 21 days on ECM produced by fibroblasts cultured in MMC conditions (DCM). Podocytes cultured on DCM displayed higher oxygen consumption rate (OCR, *p<0.0001) (a, b) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR, *p<0.03) (c, d) and proton production rates (PPR, *p<0.03) (e, f) compared to podocytes cultured on plastic (TCP).
