Analysis of volatile headspace compounds of centrifuged saliva samples by gas-chomatography-Mass Spectometry (GC-MS) after overnight incubation with active β-glucosidase from Bacillus polymyxa. Analysis of salivary samples from six patients identified 17 different volatile compounds. Control: Samples containing heat inactivated β-glucosidases purified from B. polymyxa.
