The biogenesis of tsRNAs. tsRNAs can be generally classified into the following two categories according to the cleavage sites in tRNAs and lengths: tiRNAs and tRFs. tiRNAs are classed by their source sequences from the 5′‐ or 3′‐end of tRNA cleaved by ANG. tRFs are classified into three major types depending on the size and location of the source: tRF‐5, tRF‐3 and tRF‐1.
