Table 1. Number of lattice points (N L) that are required for the nth secondary maxima along the [100], [110] and [111] directions to be above the noise level.

The calculations have been performed for two energies (E = 12.4 and 30.0 keV) and using the differential scattering cross sections for 45° scattering angle, for carbon (C) and palladium (Pd).
