County-level COVID-19 incidence rates per 100,000 population were estimated using data from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering as of August 29, 2020. The green bar illustrates that the COVID-19 pandemic was declared a national emergency in the United States on March 13, 2020.
