The point mutations in the envelope protein of the breakthrough viruses were determined by analysis of the virus bulk sequence and five clones. The mutations in all six sequences from each plasma virus are shown in the table. The most common point mutation V/L occurred in five animals. The point mutations in the sham animal were present in 4 of 6 sequences.
