Choice of surgical approach and indications for lung resection over the 2-year study period. (A) The vast majority of minimally invasive lung resections were performed using a video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) during the first year versus robotic-assisted surgery during the second year (P<0.0001). (B) Indications for surgical lung resection were relatively similar between years (P=0.06), with no change in the proportion of cases performed for primary lung cancer (59.3% vs. 60.2%, P>0.999).
