(A–C) Immunized animals had 38% less PHF-1 stained tau pathology in the motor cortex representing a trend for reduction (*p = 0.0448; one-tailed t-test). (D–F) TW1 treated mice showed a 50% reduction of PHF-1 immunoreactivity in the dentate gyrus (*p = 0.02; two-tailed t-test).
