Glucose is differentially utilized in CD4 T cells and iNKT cells after stimulation. Activated CD4 T cells metabolize glucose primarily into lactate, whereas iNKT cells support the PPP and OXPHOS. Activated iNKT cells produce more ATP than CD4 T cells, which is likely due to elevated OXPHOS in iNKT cells.
