Anatomical Features of Patient-Specific Subjects. The three first rows display CT images corresponding to the N = 6 subjects studied. The images represent, from top to bottom, axial, sagittal and coronal plane sections showing the left atrium, and including LAA thrombi if present (patients 5 and 6). In each panel, the intersections with the other two view planes are represented with a vertical and a horizontal line. The bottom row displays a 3D rendering of the segmented LAA for each subject, and an inset showing its plane projection (gray) and the branches that define the LAA lobes (white). Data are shown at an instant corresponding to 50% of the R-R interval.
