A. Macrophages were treated with 100 ng/ml LPS in the presence of different concentrations of apigenin or diluent DMSO (indicated as +/−) or with diluents PBS and DMSO (−/−) for 8 h. MiR-155 expression was analyzed by qRT-PCR. B. Macrophages were treated with 100 ng/ml LPS (black bars) or PBS (white bars) concurrently with ECE (25 µM apigenin equivalents), 25 µM pure apigenin, 50 µM naringenin or DMSO for 8 h. MiR-155 expression was determined by qRT-PCR. Data represent fold change relative to cells treated with DMSO. Mean ± SEM, n=5, *p < 0.05.
