Representative SEM micrographs of the resin–dentin interface is shown from different bio-modification procedures. (A) Well-formed hybrid layer within the resin–dentin interface produced by Prime&Bond active^TM applied on self-etch mode and a regular cylindrical shape exhibiting a rough texture on top of the resin tags; (B) The 0.5% RB-modified adhesive specimens showed a thinner hybrid layer; (C) Relatively thicker and textured hybrid layer with long well-formed resin tags could be seen with the 1% RB-modified adhesive specimens; (D) Well-defined uniform hybrid layer and with well-formed branched resin tags could be observed with 2% RB-modified adhesive.
