AfrLEA6 expression increases osmotic stress tolerance toward NaCl and sucrose. Nontransfected control (NTC), vector control (VC), and cells expressing AfrLEA6 were cultured for 48 h in culture medium supplemented with +400 mOsmol/kg of either NaCl (white bars) or sucrose (gray bars).
