DDGS, dried distillers grains with solubles; ME, metabolizable energy; SID, standardized ileal digestible; STTD, standardized total tract digestible.

1)

MegaFix (ICC, São Paulo, Brazil) was added to MT at 0.2% in all phases.

2)

Week 5 lasted 6 days to facilitate the sampling schedule.

3)

Either “clean” corn DDGS or deoxynivalenol contaminated corn DDGS (mycotoxin concentration: 7.643 mg/kg of feed of deoxynivalenol, 0.200 mg/kg of feed of fumonisin B1, and 2.417 mg/kg of feed of zearalenone) was used to formulate CON or MT diets, respectively.

4)

Either corn (CON and MT) or the mycotoxin-detoxifying additive (MT+D) was added to diets.

5)

The analyzed composition values are given on an as-fed basis.
