Neuronal cell loss in the ventral hippocampus and the parietal cortex 2 weeks after status epilepticus compared with control animals. Note drastically reduced neuronal attenuation in the CA1 region of the ventral hippocampus (vCA1) and, to a lesser extent, in the parietal cortex (PaCor) at 2 weeks.
