The graph on the right represents this correlation for female children (r = .06, p = .70). One male child had an ASD diagnosis (left panel, red data point). Including this case in the analyses did not alter the association between prenatal cortisol and SCQ scores among males (r = −.42, p = .006). Correlations account for both gestational week of sample collection and for time of day of collection.
