The antigen‐binding fragment (Fab) consists of the variable (VL) and constant (CL) domains of the light chain, and the variable (VH) and constant (CH1) domains of the heavy chain. The Fab fragment is connected via the hinge region to the crystallizable fragment (Fc), consisting of the constant domains CH2 and CH3 of the heavy chain.
