Natural variation in relative expression of SOC1 (A) and FT (B) in response to nitrate concentration fluctuation (X-axis) is associated with flowering behaviors of Col-0 (red) and Ws (blue) under LD (broken lines) and MD (solid lines) conditions. Quantitative RT-PCR was used to quantify the relative expression in three biological replicates for 15 DAG seedlings with standard deviation of means shown. Note that, in comparison to Col-0, Ws features a relatively higher basal expression for both genes and for both growth conditions.
