Comparison of γENaC species in total cell extracts and surface fractions of FRT cells expressing ENaC. Cells were transfected with WT αENaC, βENaC, and γENaC with or without CAP1. Total lysate lanes were loaded with 7 µL of lysates from a single filter. Eluate lanes were loaded with eluates from Neutravidin beads loaded with 180 µL of the lysate. The main CAP1-dependent cleaved form was identical in total and surface fractions. Similar results were obtained in four independent experiments.
