The figure compares base peak intensity (BPI) MS chromatograms of methanol (A) leaf and (B) root extracts from five oat cultivars (SWK001, Overberg, Pallinup, Dunnart and Magnifico) at the seedling stage. These represent the chromatographic separation based on the polarity of the different compounds in negative ionisation mode (ESI–), separated on an HSS T3 reverse-phase column. The dashed oval structures point out some cultivar-exclusive variations that illustrate differences in the phytochemical profiles of the cultivars.
